General terms and conditions of Cafe Arqueologico Yaxha
To achieve our goal of providing you with the very best services we would ask you to read carefully our General Terms and Conditions of Business as outlined below.
Reservations 
Reservations can be made online by completing the reservation form on our website. Moreover you have the possibility to book a tour directly at Café Arqueológico Yaxha. Please book daytrips 48 hours before you like to do the respective trip. Trips that last several days have to be booked 72 hours before starting the trip.
Deposits
After checking your reservation we charge a deposit paid via PayPal or via bank transfer. A deposit of 30% per person is required to reserve your place. All deposits have to be done at least 48 hours in advance. Deposits are non-refundable on all Café Arqueológico Yaxha tours, but they can be given as credit if you wish to postpone your trip to a later date. 
Payment
Final payments are due at least 24 hours prior to departure. You will have the possibility to pay cash in US dollar or Guatemalan Quetzales, but we also accept all common credit cards. However we have to charge 5% on the invoice amount on payments via credit card. 
In the event of not having paid the whole invoice amount at least 24 hours prior to departure, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited.
CHANGES to your original reservation will result in a 20 % rebooking fee on the invoice amount which is needed to cover the costs incurred by the changes. Changes have to be made within 48 hours prior to departure; otherwise we are unable to change your reservation.
UNUSED SERVICES cannot be refunded once the trip has begun. No refund can be made for absence by passengers from any part of the tour.
PERSONAL TIPS are not included in the tour price, but would be appreciated. 
TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE personal insurance or insurance of any items of personal nature.
CANCELLATIONS of reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to departure. However, we are unable to refund any deposits already paid. We can propose you to use the deposit as credit if you wish to postpone your trip to a later date.
Luggage
As much as we like to provide help with all your travel needs, Café Arqueológico Yaxha is not to be held responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged luggage and personal items, such as cameras, laptops, mobile phones etc.
Touring
Café Arqueológico Yaxha tours include transport to respective destination. According to tour and to weather conditions you will travel in a mini bus, in a pick-up with four-wheel drive or you will have to hike. Some of our transport facilities also provide air-conditioning.
Transfers are provided on a group basis only. For passengers deviating in any way from the group program, transfers are not provided. 
Meals and Beverage
On our tours lasting several days we offer both meals and purified water. Please rest assured that our purified water fulfils all grocery standards that are requested. 
Entrance Fees
Please refer to our homepage www.the-mayan-adventure.com  whether the entrance fee to respective Mayan ruins is included or not.
How to contact us
We would ask you to dial the (+502) 58 30 20 60, if you have a problem or a question that needs to be attended immediately. As we are checking our e-mail account only once a day on weekdays, we won’t be able to help you instantly if you send us a message using your blackberry. 
Responsibility
We are not to be held responsible for circumstances entirely beyond our control (hurricanes, storms, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, flooding, acts of government etc.). Moreover we are not liable for cancellations, delays or interruptions of the trip that are caused by such unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.
We won’t bear any medical expenses, emergency evacuation costs and salvage charges in case of injury, sickness or death that may occur while you are on the trip. All such expenses will be borne by the passenger.  Moreover we are not responsible for failings on the part of the individual traveler. 
We reserve the right to make changes and alterations in the itinerary as may be necessary for the proper handling of the tour or to refuse or cancel any person at any time, without being under obligation to assign a reason therefore. In the event of exercise of this right, we are under no liability to that person whatsoever.
Café Arqueológico Yaxha is solely the travel mediator of third party services. In this respect we are only liable for the mediation, but not for mediated services themselves (i.e. guides, mini-bus drivers, accommodation services etc.). We are therefore not liable for unforeseeable or unavoidable failings on the part of third parties.
Although Café Arqueológico Yaxha makes every effort to maintain the information presented as current as possible changing factors and conditions in the travel industry may result in changes in prices and/or the terms and conditions of Café Arqueológico Yaxha services and products that are not yet reflected in this website. 
In case of a difference of opinion between a customer and Café Arqueológico Yaxha regarding the terms and conditions of business or use of any of Café Arqueológico Yaxha’s products and services, the interpretation of Café Arqueológico Yaxha will prevail.
We reserve the right to cancel any tours on short notice due to weather conditions, illness or unforeseen circumstances entirely beyond our control.
